Nick & Madison // Spokane Wedding

Our first face to face meeting wasn’t far from the wedding date. They walked into the coffee shop (cute as could be) and I knew immediately…they were my people. Nick with his dry sense of humor and Madison in a mild ball of stress ready to lay out the plan (so much like me if I may add). They were sweet & funny & put full trust in my ideas & hopes for their day. Sighs of relief were had by all as we sunk into the perfection the day would hold & me assuring them that I would take care of anything they needed. I knew the day would be special & I wasn’t wrong. Fast forward to the morning of as I packed my gear & felt the wedding day jitters. I’ve been doing this for 6 years…why do those still exist? My second shooter & I walk into the hotel room and the air is calm. All the girls ready & the bride waiting patiently for our arrival. If I could, I would post every photo from this wedding. It was just that beautiful. But I’m gonna go ahead and give you only a little taste so I can share more later. Also because I have a crap ton of other things I need to edit so my clients don’t hate me.

Whitney & Bethany // Alabama In-Home

Oh my gosh I blogged! I haven’t had time to come up for air in quite some time now, but this shoot was deserving of a blog post. So here I am, days away from leaving for China. While checking millions of things off of my ever growing list, I am again reminded that in the midst of the busyness…I freaking love my job(s).

I get to take pictures of incredible people, I get to sing until my throat aches, travel all over the world & most importantly…I get to be with the people I love while doing it. Like what? Heck…who needs sleep when you get to spit truths like these out of your mouth.

Cameron & Kasey // Spokane Wedding

I am always emotionally invested in my clients...especially my brides. But this wedding killed me. From the moment I hopped on a call with this gal, I knew we clicked. I loved every statement, idea & thought she had. I was beyond excited for this day. And I was not disappointed. Every moment was filled with real and raw love & excitement. Every person genuine & supportive of this union. Every photo filled with more than just the image laid before me. This wedding was special. I can't get over how close I felt to this couple on their day & how excited I've been to share these images with them. Congratulations to the very gorgeous Cam & Kasey...you two are amazing together. Let's be friends forever.

Corey & Kyha // In Home Shoot

If there is a puppy at your house and you ask me to come take photos...I may pay more attention to the puppy than you. I'm sorry in advance for this flaw of mine. Luckily, Corey & Kyha are some of the coolest humans, so I enjoyed my time with them too.

This cute home, with this cute dog and this cute couple made one freaking adorable session.  Have a looksie.

Tyler & Christine // Spokane Engagement

Some people are disgustingly photogenic. I didn't even have to try to be good with Christine...she was just perfect for every photo. Then there is Tyler. The way Tyler looks at Christine melts my heart. There was no chance of failure for this shoot with their photogenic love filled glances. I can't wait for this special August wedding.

David & Kayla // Spokane Wedding

At most weddings, people are happy for the bride & groom...at least every wedding I've been to. But this wedding they weren't just happy. They were invested, emotional, real, joyful, proud & downright celebratory. There was a different air about the loved ones that gathered around this beautiful couple several weeks back. They were "in" with them. I feel like I was a part of something extra special with these two. I hope to keep them not just as clients but as friends. No actually, I think I will force them to be. They are just that cool.

Also...they had snow as their reception exit. I surely can't leave that detail out.

"No words can describe our wedding day as we commited our lives to each other in front of our family & friends. We woudn't change a single moment of that day. Our biggest surprise was stepping back & realizing how dearly we are loved & supported by those around us. We are already loving what God has in store for us. Here's to the great gift of marriage" -David & Kayla

Michael & Britney // Seattle Engagement

Adventuring at Rattlesnake lake was amazing with these two. The phrase "anything for the photo" couldn't have been more true. Brit climbed a freaking stump in her heels for me. I love shoots where I don't hesitate to ask for anything because I know the client will be up for whatever. I'm sure their wedding is going to be killer. Not just because they are both beautiful...but also because they are the more fun than you could ever wish for.  Congrats you guys!

Ryann & Taylor // Spokane Graduation

These two GORGEOUS gals gave me the honor of taking their "senior" photos. I wish more people would do these types of sessions with their friends. They graduate nursing school this year & wanted some photos to mark this moment in time. Yeah...I wasn't sad about it. Take a look at these beauties.

Fiji 2018 // A personal post

I fell in love with the people of Fiji. There are no words that could summarize this trip & there would be no way to explain everything we saw and every person we encountered. So instead...I took photos. These photos were for me. They weren't for a client that would pay me or a magazine that needed something exact. They didn't have to be perfectly framed, have precise settings or need to wear the Instagram worthy edit. These photos are just my way of observing. My way of remembering. These photos are my way of sharing this experience with anyone who cares to see it.

Thanks to all the amazing people who took this trip alongside me. Thanks to the Bickleys for hosting us. Thanks to all the humans (and animals) who touched my heart & changed my perspective. Mark & Rachel // Palouse Falls Couple Shoot

Sometimes I get couples to go on adventures with me. This is no standard shoot. It's hot, it's sweaty, it may require some hiking or uncomfortable terrain, it may mean facing a fear (like snakes or heights) or it might simply mean we all get a little out of our comfort zone. But somehow it's a blast. I want every shoot to feel like this one.

Thank you Mark & Rachel for going on this adventure with me. Thank you Ilse Papst for creating some beautiful arrangements to accessorize them in a unique way. I sure love you all!
